A Practice of Listening

About Rising Sign

Rising Sign is a sound bath and wellness practice offering space for rest, regulation, and attentive listening. The work is designed to support moments of pause within busy lives, creating conditions for presence, connection, and perspective to emerge without effort or performance.

Rising Sign does not aim to fix, optimize, or prescribe. Sound is offered as a way to settle the body and quiet the mind, allowing experience to unfold in its own time.

  • Rising Sign is guided by discernment, restraint, and care.

Each session is shaped with close attention to pacing, tone, and environment. The work is held with clear boundaries and an awareness of nervous system regulation, creating experiences that are grounded, accessible, and non-performative.

Rather than directing or interpreting experience, Rising Sign creates conditions where listening itself becomes the practice.

  • Rising Sign was founded by Alice Perkins, a certified sound healer whose work draws from creative practice, community building, and a deep interest in how environments shape attention and rest.

Alice came to sound work during a period of personal and physical recalibration, while navigating burnout and an autoimmune condition that required her to rethink how she related to rest, attention, and the rhythms of her body. Sound became one of the practices that helped her slow down, regulate her nervous system, and reconnect with a steadier sense of balance.

Over time, this relationship with sound deepened and gradually evolved into the practice that now informs Rising Sign.

Today, that lived experience continues to shape Rising Sign’s approach: thoughtful, measured, and grounded in listening rather than instruction.

“I am interested in creating sensory-rich spaces where people can pause long enough to listen, without needing to perform, strive, or frame reflection within a specific belief system.

Through sound, I create opportunities to honor the present moment and allow clarity to emerge from a state of rest, in its own way and time.”
